What is Amana Kids?
So what happens when everything our children love lives somewhere else?
They feel the pull, not the growth.
Math here. Sports there. Fun somewhere loud. Qur'an on an app. Few of these places share our values, and some quietly work against them.
Amana Kids brings it home. It's HIC's after-school program: one roof and one standard, with faith built into everything we do. Amana means a trust, because every child placed in our care is one.
What does it cost?
So how do we create extraordinary programs that are affordable?
Scale.
Premium programs come with real costs: professional staff, equipment, supplies, and much more. When more families take part, those costs are shared across more children. That's how we bring the cost per child down without cutting the things that make the experience extraordinary.
While we build, every program, session and experience is complimentary.

Which programs will Amana Kids offer first?
So where do we start when we want to build the whole child?
Where kids already want to be.
We've designed 8 core programs for maximum impact. They address parents' biggest concerns, enrich our children's childhoods, and show children how Islamic values live in their everyday lives. The goal is a strong identity, and the confidence to succeed while grounded in faith.
We launch with sports. Basketball and Volleyball start together, 2 days a week, with 2 sessions per day for each sport. Each session runs 1 hour 20 minutes and includes:
- Coach's address: how Confidence, Persistence and Tenacity are part of our faith
- The Amana Pledge: a code of honor, recited before every session
- Curated game time
- Conditioning
- Closing: greet, handshake and sportsmanship

How many spots are available per session?
So how do we keep the quality high while we grow?
We start small, on purpose.
Each session opens with a cap of 45 kids, ages 5–12. A smaller group means more coaching, more touches on the ball, and a coach who knows every child's name.
As more families join, we'll grow the cap, the sessions and the programs to match. We grow with demand, never at the cost of the experience.
How do age bands work?
So how do a 5-year-old and a 12-year-old both get a great experience?
They don't share the same group.
Every child learns differently, so age bands are built around the sport and each child's attention span. There are 2 primary bands:
Girls 9 and over have their own group within each program.
Who are the coaches?
So who do we trust with our children?
People who share our values, and who are vetted.
Coach Haidar leads Amana Sports as our Sports Director. Every coach builds the whole child: conditioning, new skills, and how to play as a team. Most importantly, they build character: respect, confidence and sportsmanship, rooted in the Qur'an and the lives of Prophet Muhammad and the Imams (peace be upon them).

Demand data, and your vote.
We use enrollment data and polling in MyAmana to decide which programs come first. Sometimes the priority is a program for younger or older siblings. Other times it's tutoring, so kids have something to balance out the fun.
We'll build fast, while keeping every program a premium experience.
